Lucy Garnett Peyton (1830-1903)

Lucy Garnett Peyton, daughter of John Howe Peyton and Ann Montgomery Lewis, was born October 12, 1830 at Montgomery Hall. She died January 22, 1903 and is buried in Thornrose Cemetery, Staunton, Virginia. She married John Newton Hendren (1822-1898) December 20, 1855. They lived at Selma, near Staunton. John Newton Hendren was a lawyer, a judge of the Augusta County Court, and the last treasurer of the Confederate States of America. He is buried in Thornrose Cemetery.
